How do you handle phone calls from telemarketers?
I ask them how they got my number and everything they know about me. Tell them it's the law. They'll keep saying that it was delivered to them as a company. Then I say: "Be that as it may (fucko), tell me. Everything. In writing, within 5 working days. What's your name, son?"
Always be polite, though. It's probably some guy working his way through A-levels, so don't be a dickhead.
Sometimes I say: "Damn right, I'm interested - send me some details." And they never have your address, and you never give your address out over the phone.
